I don’t know about you, but as we step into 2025, I’ve been feeling like this year is different. At the end of 2024, I told myself that 2025 would be the year of two things: intentionality and awareness.
I wanted to be intentional about everything in my life—especially my prayer life—because I truly believe that prayer changes things.
And let’s be real… life be life-ing.
• Some of us are fighting for our marriages.
• Some of us are struggling with our kids.
• Some of us are trying to find a job, build a business, or figure out our next move.
• Some of us are battling health issues or mental struggles that nobody even knows about.
And then there are the days where everything just feels off. Where you’re doing all the right things, but nothing seems to be moving.
That’s why prayer isn’t optional—it’s essential.
Prayer is My Lifeline
Every Monday morning, I start my day with a podcast about God—something that feeds my spirit before I do anything else.
I’ve made it a habit to spend my first moments with God every morning.
And throughout the day? I find myself praying in the car, in the shower, in the quiet moments between tasks—sometimes just to say thank you.
Not asking for anything. Just gratitude.
• Thank You, God, for my life.
• Thank You for my health and my strength.
• Thank You for keeping me.
I’m 34 years old, it’s 2025, and I still have three of my grandparents alive. None of them are in the hospital. They all can walk. Do you know how rare that is?
I know so many people who never got to meet their grandparents, let alone have them here for this long. That’s a blessing I don’t take lightly.
And I realize—I’m blessed and favored.
But I also know that I have things I want to accomplish in a world that sometimes tells you it’s impossible.
Where people doubt you, where opportunities feel out of reach, where some people don’t want to see you win.
That’s why I pray.
Because God works through people.
Praying for the Right People
I pray that every person I encounter is better after meeting me than they were before.
I pray that I cross paths with people who genuinely want to see me win.
I pray for the right doors to open, for the right conversations to happen, for the right connections to be made.
And I pray that when I win, I don’t just keep it to myself—I pull someone else up with me.
That’s why prayer is a daily thing for me. Because I know that God aligns things in ways I can’t see.
Prayer is Your Lifeline
Think about it like this…
When your phone, laptop, or tablet is on 1%, what do you do? You RUN to find a charger. Why? Because without power, it won’t work.
But how often do we let our spirit run on empty before we realize we need to plug into the Source?
Just like your phone works best when it’s fully charged, you operate best when you’re spiritually charged through prayer.
• Prayer gives strength when you feel weak.
• Prayer builds faith when doubt creeps in.
• Prayer brings peace when anxiety tries to take over.
• Prayer restores hope when everything feels uncertain.
Prayer isn’t just about asking for things—it’s about staying connected to the Source. It’s about keeping your spiritual battery full so that no matter what life throws at you, you’re not running on empty.
God Already Knows What You Need
I won’t lie—there are times when I’ve felt anxious. Stressed. Overwhelmed. But then I’m reminded of Luke 12:22-31:
“Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on… Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds?”
God takes care of everything—the birds, the flowers, the smallest details. And if He does that for them, why wouldn’t He do the same for you?
Sometimes, we stress over things that God has already handled.
Pray, Even When You Don’t Feel Like It
Let’s be real—some days, you don’t feel like praying. Some days, you don’t even have the words.
Pray anyway.
Because even when you don’t see things shifting, God is always working.
Even when you don’t hear an answer right away, God is always listening.
Even when it feels like nothing is changing, prayer is moving things in ways you can’t see yet.
